Tuesday was a humid one in New York! That kind of humidity that hits you like a brick wall when you walk out of your well-air-conditioned office. So please excuse the crazy hair!

After work, I was more than ready for a refreshing cocktail and some pampering! I headed down to Tribeca to meet some of the Glam girls for the Smirnoff Stir Up Your Summer event at TenOverTen. It was my first time at TenOverTen, but it won’t be the last. It was hands down the best pedicure I’ve gotten in the city so far! And the polish on my fingers is still going strong without any chips! Granted, it’s only been two days, but my polish always chips within a few days of a manicure. Plus, the staff was so sweet and the service was great!

Cocktail: Mango Passion Fizz, which was absolutely delicious! Fruity and sweet, but not too sweet. My favorite!

There were also makeup touch ups, the Glam Mani Cam, tarot card readings, delicious sushi, and massages. Just your typical Tuesday, right?! JK. But you know what they say… #TreatYoSelf

I only had one cocktail (I mean, it was a Tuesday!), but these low-cal-concoctions are definitely going to be a big part of my summer! The fun straws will be, too. I don’t know what it is, but sipping any beverage from a cute straw makes it so much better. An accessory for your drink, if you will!

This fun little evening of pampering was the perfect way to kick off the summer! Do you have any exciting plans to start the summer off right this weekend?

But seriously, Kiley’s recent post seriously resonated. I think we are both serial jean jacket wearers!

I chose to dress down this emerald lace dress for work, but one of my girlfriends is actually borrowing it in a few weeks to wear to a wedding. Work day to wedding guest, now that’s what I call versatility! To make a lace dress office appropriate, add a casual jacket or blazer and opt for low key sandals. Pumps or sandals that are too dressy might make your ensemble look a little less work day and a bit more summer soiree. Make sure you keep in mind your office dress code, though… If open toes are off limits for you, pair your lace dress with a pair of chic ballet flats or cool oxfords instead!

This is (sadly) the last post in my fun Marshalls collaboration. All good things have to come to an end though, right?!

My weekly trips to Marshalls have become a habit that I don’t foresee myself breaking anytime soon. My friends and co-workers have started to expect the “Thanks, it’s from Marshalls!” response when they compliment a new piece of clothing or pair of shoes. “Jess! Those pumps are amazing. Let me guess.. They’re from Marshalls…” As much as I don’t want to spill my secrets, the selection is just too good not to share! And then I always get the “You have to take me with you next time!” when I tell them the designer and price (or lack thereof). ;)

Sorbet Colors / Ladylike Attire

My first post was a colorful one! I found this great eyelet and coral dress and knew it would be on repeat all spring and summer long. I paired it with pops of mint for it’s first blog debut.

This post was one of my favorite outfit posts to date! An unbelievable dress paired with pearls and polished accessories. It’s hard to go wrong with a classic and feminine look!

Ladylike Accessories / A Versatile Dress

This post was all about my feminine finds at Marshalls. Pointy pumps, tweed-like jackets, frilly skirts, classic clutches, scalloped shirts, etc. All wrapped into one for a girly work outfit!

I found the perfect neutral sheath dress at Marshalls and it spoke volumes to me. I put a Mad Men spin on it in this post. A classic combination of beige and black! Besides, who can say no to a glittery bow belt?!

Chambray & Woven Tops / Nudes & Neutrals

This post was all about the versatility of a chambray shirt, a frequent topic of discussion here on Bows & Sequins. I switched it up and paired my polka dot chambray with another woven top and tied up the front to mimic a denim jacket / cardigan!

The final outfit post was all about mixing neutrals for a thoughtless chic ensemble! Not sure what to wear? Make it a mix of black, white, and tan and you really can’t go wrong!
