Admittedly, I’ve turned into a bit of a coffee snob. I’m blaming this one on Stumptown being a few doors down from my office this fall… Their espresso is so good! When I was back home in Illinois over the holidays, I really missed being able to just walk out the door and grab a coffee or latte at a cute neighborhood shop. (One of the many things I love about the East Village!) Even though I got back to New York really late on Thursday night (that’s a story for a different day), I still jolted out of bed on Friday morning, ready to go grab a hot one.
When I’m running out to grab my daily skim latte or just running a few neighborhood errands, you can usually find me in something of this sort… Comfy jeans, cute flats, a cozy sweater, and one of my Zara blanket scarves.

I love the colors you combined in this look; the burgundy with the dark wash jeans and the dark green in the scarf. Sweet look!

Love those loafers! And I’m still working on mastering the blanket scarf look, but I’m still in the stage where it looks like I literally wrapped a blanket around my neck 🙂

Admittedly, I have turned into quite the coffee snob as well. You wouldn’t believe it but Louisville actually has a bunch of little cafe’s and local coffee shops as well. Even in these frigid temperatures I somehow muster up the courage to walk a couple blocks for my favorite vanilla latte.
PS amazing outfit 🙂 my Madewell blanket scarf has been on serious repeat lately too.

I need you to teach me how you tie your Zara scarf and make it actually look like a scarf. Yours looks nice and compact…Mine just looks so bulky like I’m wearing a legit blanket as a scarf. #helpme
I posted a video on Instagram! 🙂

Really cute outfit! I have a question though, how can you wear shoes without socks in the winter time?? It’s been so cold!! I’m definitely a boot with jeans type of girl except when it’s warmer out! 🙂
I live in the East Village, too! What’s your favorite spot? The Bean has a soft spot in my heart – best chai tea latte, ever.

Hi Jessica,
I’ve been following your blog for awhile now and just now commenting. I love your loafers in this outfit and while you’ve stated your love for Stumptown (if it’s anything similar to the one in Portland, OR, I would be a coffee snob too), Starbucks has a new Caramel Flan Latte that I think is definitely worth trying. Also wanted to add that I’ve noticed your love for your alma mater and saw this bag at Target that I think you need solely for the color combo: http://www.target.com/p/merona-crossbody-handbag-navy-orange/-/A-14914734#prodSlot=large_2_28
Love your loafers! Perfect outfit for a chilly day!
Loving all the bows you have been sporting lately!
Purple is such a pretty color on you!
