InStyle Holiday Gift Guide

by Jessica Sturdy on November 22, 2013

It’s that time of year when gift-guides are out in full force! From blogs to magazines, everyone has rounded up their favorite products to help point you in the right direction when you’re out shopping for the perfect gifts. I LOVE gift guides. I’ve always been a “list person” so making a list of my favorite things comes naturally. And on the other hand, I always find the best stuff to add to my gift list, as well as my personal wish list, when I’m browsing through everyone else’s lists.

Each holiday season, I aim to get my shopping done EARLY! For me, it’s so much easier to order gifts online. No lines, no crowds, no transporting multiple shopping bags on the subway. I think I learned the hard way here. I remember back in college I was always too busy with finals to focus on my holiday shopping and I would end up being that girl racing around on Christmas Eve trying to cross everyone off of my list before the stores closed. Way, way too stressful!

In order for me to avoid rush shipping charges online and to make sure all of my gifts get to my place with ample amounts of time to spare, I now like to start earlier in the fall, instead of just a few days before the holiday. This season, I’ve already checked off quite a few friends and family members and plan to finish up most of my shopping during the upcoming holiday weekend!

I’ve been loving the InStyle Boutique! Not familiar? Here are a few more deets: It is a limited-time pop-up that lives on Instyle.com until December 27th. (So you can do a little shopping for yourself after Christmas, too!) From over 30 designer and contemporary fashion brands, to beauty products, accessories, jewelry and watches, there is truly something for everyone on your list. I’ve rounded up some of my must-haves in the collage above. My favorite gifts (to give and get) usually involve something sparkly, whether it be a sequin top, a bracelet, or a statement necklace. Happy Shopping!

You can also enter to win a $3,000 shopping spree here! Talk about making the season bright! ;)

I usually try to do my Christmas shopping early, but have been failing at it this year. I need to step up my game before finals!
