Ever since I spotted this skirt (featured in this post), I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect floral a-line skirt! Although this skirt doesn’t make my heart patter like the Red Valentino version, it’s definitely a favorite since it is under $20! I obviously bought both colors. 🙂
I styled my pleated floral skirt with a casual tee and a denim jacket for work. I kept my accessories bright and my flats neutral to balance out all of the color. While I kept my jean jacket on at the office, you could easily remove the jacket and add some strappy sandals for post-work and weekend festivities.
I don’t know about you, but I can’t get enough of my jean jacket when the temperatures begin to rise! It’s a transitional wardrobe staple and lends the perfect casual touch. A juxtaposition must!
Gap Denim Jacket / Forever 21 Floral Skirt (under $20! I bought both colors!) / Me Too Bow Flats (similar on sale!)/ Rebecca Minkoff MAC / gifted Ali’s Collection Necklace / Michael Kors Watch / ILY Couture Bracelet
Happy Friday!

This is so cute – totally something I would wear and easy to run around with the kids in! I have been wearing my jean jacket a ridiculous amount lately too – it just works with everything 🙂

i threw my jean jacket away years ago and i hate myself for it. i’m a moron.
Same!! I got rid of my ol’ A&F jean jacket a few years ago but finally got this one earlier this year when Gap was running a 30% off promo.
Note to self: hold on to things.
I just replace my old jean jacket with a more fitted, modern version and I can’t get enough of it. You’re absolutely right: it’s the perfect casual layering piece!

So adorable!
This may be an odd question but, how tall are you? I was looking at the skirt online (to buy) and it looks shorter then it does on you. I was wondering so I could figure out if I want the skirt.
Hi Lilly,
I’m only 5’5”, but I have long legs. I bought a Medium so it would be a bit longer and appropriate for the office!
I love that floral skirt! Off to Forever 21 I go!!

I actually don’t have a jean jacket. They do seem like they would be great for this time of year though. I love it with the floral skirt. Great look!

I just have the straps doubled up! Unclip the chain from the bag, loop it through the hole and attach it to the top of the strap near the leather part. 🙂
Very cute outfit! Love how you wore the jean jacket!
