Retail Therapy

Today is just ONE OF THOSE DAYS. Woke up insanely late. Didn’t have time to wash my incredibly greasy hair. (#dryshampoo) Didn’t have time to put any makeup on. Threw on an outfit without opening my eyes, apparently. Got to the office and realized that I a) am wearing a see through shirt, b) am wearing white jeans when I definitely shouldn’t be (#mothernature #tmi), and c) forgot to even put a jacket on as I scurried out the door. Tried to get a cab for 20 minutes, couldn’t. Then ended up having to take the bus and strolled into work 30 minutes late. I was in the bathroom at work trying to throw on some makeup and fix my hair and my hair tie broke. That was the straw that broke the camel’s back, if you will. May or may not have shed a few tears and a few curse words. It’s one of those days where I just want to go to bed last night and try today again, on the right foot. There’s just one thing that can make a day like today a bit better… Retail therapy.

Oh no! I hope your day gets better soon! Bad days are always the worst, but I do like the retail therapy idea! I really love the gold knot earrings and the sequin beach bag, but everything is so cute!

You deserve some major accessories after the morning you’ve been through. The Shopbop sale really brings out the worst in me – do I really need 3 gray jersey dresses?

The answer is obviously yes during this nutso time of the year (i.e F&F sale).

Get some chocolate and sweatpants and curl up with some Rachel Zoe Project. You’ve earned it!

At least you are still B-E-A-UTIFUL with no makeup, greasy hair and a see-thru shirt (probably made a few guys’ days there). Now, because you suggested it, I will go online shop. I’m sure I can find a CC I haven’t maxed out if I search through my wallet long enough..

Coincidence?! Had a day just like that, yesterday. Was so miserable the hole time, finally, I went to gym and destroyed myself there. I felt better after, and enjoying your therapy idea today:)
    Fell better,

I completely understand! I think I had “one of those days” three times this week. It’s gotten so bad that I’ve been drying my hair *at work,* haha. Terrible. Next week’s resolution is to get up at a reasonable hour so I’m not crashing around in the morning!! 😉 Loveeee those Sam Edelman low-heel flats! Your picks are always the best.

And I absolutely love your blog. It’s so fun seeing you all over the East Village. What a fabulous place to live, huh? I’m jealous you get to eat Artichoke Pizza whenever you want… One of the *major* things I miss about the hood! Haha 😉

    Keep up the great work!
