Casual Camo

by Jessica Sturdy on January 23, 2013

Casual, comfy brunch attire to combat the frigid NYC temps! With this freezing cold, windy weather, I almost feel like I live in Chicago again. And NOT in a good way! #ThingsIDontMiss

I always joke that my ankles and the tops of my feet will one day freeze off. I only stow away the ankle pants when there is snow on the ground!

Jessica Sturdy January 23, 2013 at 10:26 am

Well I think my feet currently have frost bite from this morning’s commute so…..

Cute pants ad outfit!

I feel your pain Toronto is -20 degrees today! Yikes!!!

Alison January 23, 2013 at 10:29 am

You are definitely brave to be rocking the flats/ankle pants in these temperatures! But you look fab doing it, so it’s totally worth it, right? 😉

BTW, I love the combo of camo and oxblood. One of my favorites!

XO, Alison

LOVE the fur stole. Clicked on the link, and it’s on sale for $10 in grey. Snapped it up with a promo code for free shipping. On it’s way to me for $10… yay!

Just love all your burgundy tones! And your simple white cable knit sweater is just gorgeous!

Blessings! And hope you stay warm!

Alyssa January 23, 2013 at 11:25 am

I’m so crazy about this sweater. It looks so cozy!

Amy Shaughnessy January 23, 2013 at 11:33 am

I love those little bow shoes! So cute! I will wear sandals in winter. Of course the high today is 72 so that is acceptable.

Love that sweater – also love that you paired burgundy with the military print. Great outfit!

Taylor (The Wearist) January 23, 2013 at 12:03 pm

Absolutely love this look on you. The burgundy accents pull everything together and give the camo a girlish vibe. Happy New Year by the way!

Lindsay January 23, 2013 at 12:05 pm

LOVE this combination, not sure why I don’t own some camo pants by now, that my dear is a problem. The out takes made me laugh, the darn WIND does not make our photo sessions easier!

Rachel January 23, 2013 at 12:19 pm

I’ve been trying to find nice-fitting camo pants forever- love these!

I am obsessed with that sweater! It looks so great on you. And I’m with you, I have a hard time letting go of cropped pants and flats too!

AJ January 23, 2013 at 11:24 pm

I love the outfit! But I’m starting to get concerned with all the bloggers that are wearing flats and freezing their little piggies off! If my feet are cold, its all over. I guess you sacrifice more than I do for the sake of fashion!

Erin January 23, 2013 at 11:53 pm

You are so brave to be wearing flats in this weather!! But they are quite cute and look great with your cozy outfit :)

Jordan Skiles January 24, 2013 at 12:47 am

I push it with the ankles showing all the time, too! I might be miserable at the moment but I always feel like my outfit is cuter. Maybe I should just invest in more boots though! haha

xx, Jordan

Stephanie (Glam Slam!) January 24, 2013 at 1:02 am

You are not alone in your love of ankle baring skinny jeans during the middle of winter! I do the same with heels almost all through winter! I love how you’ve paired the camo here w/ that chic faux fur stole and chunky sweater. Both sweet and trendy at the same time! :)

Stephanie :)

Emma January 24, 2013 at 8:42 pm

I feel ya! This weather in the tri state is unbearable! My ankles & tops of my feet are FROZEN in my flats!

Maria January 25, 2013 at 9:10 am

I love this look! I would love to wear my skinny jeans to show off my ankles too, but its just so cold here(Italy 5degrees). But non the less you have given me inspiration as always..:))

Petite Adventures January 25, 2013 at 5:42 pm
