Texture & Tweed

Texture is the name of the game today. Texture is one of the most simple ways to add some pizazz to a casual outfit!

Nordstrom Jacket / Zara Peplum Top (Similar Styles Below*) / Paige Denim / Steve Madden Boots (identical under $35!) / JustFab Tote / gifted Ali’s Collection Necklace / J.Crew Umbrella / Michael Kors Watch

Me, Jen, Tracy during our stroll through Central Park last weekend!

Thanks for taking my pictures, Jen!

Ok, you convinced me – I was on the fence about needing yet another blazer, but I think a tan tweed one is totally in my future!! You look fabulous – I love camel and burgundy! (And I’m having a burgundy color link-up party next week on my blog if you want to join with this outfit!)

Thank Ellen! So far, this is my favorite spot in the park. This is the place where so many movies have filmed and where so many scenic Central Park photos have been taken. I’ll have to tell you about the photography project I want to do here 🙂

Jessica, this is one thing I love about fall and winter that you can layer clothes and build up your outfit with different textures. Love your tweed blazer and how you incoporated this super feminine bordeaux peplum into it. Great fall look, one of my favourites of you so far 🙂

So so cute, and I was just thinking the other day about how to layer over a peplum top! I just made one from a dress I made last year: http://www.adventuresindressmaking.com/2012/10/self-made-dress-makeover-into-top.html

I ought to try a blazer, looks like it works pretty well! You three all look so cute and stylish together, too!
