Easter candy is pretty high on my list, more so than regular candy. This can be explained by my mild obsession with Reese’s Eggs. Reese’s Eggs are undeniably better than regular Reese’s cups (way more peanut butter!) and I long for the Spring season so I can stock up on my eggs… (and ruin any swimsuit-season regimens that I’ve been working on.)
Needless to say, Easter Egg Hunts were always one of my favorite holiday traditions. Searching the yard for candy… What could be better? Sometimes my parents would put money in a few of the eggs to entice my brothers and me to find them all. Give me my basket so I can start hunting!
(^^my best rabbit impression in 1992. Click here for my 2011 rendition. In my defense, my friend taking the picture said “Look like snow bunnies!”)
My mom always reminds me of these childhood pictures because I didn’t want to use a measly wicker basket to hunt for my eggs. No, I needed to keep my eggs with the rest of my possessions… in my pink purse. Yes, I used my purse as an Easter basket in 1992.
So when my mom saw this post, she fell in love with the Furla Candy Satchel because it reminded her so much of my pink purse in these pictures. She tracked one down for me (best mom EVER!) and I can’t wait to use it all season long!
(Outfit post coming soon!)
ps- I apologize for the lack of posts this week! The time finally came for me to upgrade my old MacBook Pro for a new one and Apple had my computer for two days. Bows & Sequins will be back on a regular posting schedule this week! Happy Easter!
