Need for Tweed

October 20, 2011

Warning: No pop of color here. Only Earth tones for this outfit!

I knew this tweed riding jacket was a must have when I saw it online. I was crossing my fingers that it looked as good in person as it did on the website. It’s a great piece that looks equestrian without going over the top.

I mainly threw on the scarf for warmth, not so much an accessory, but I liked how the subtle animal print made my look a little more fun. Now let’s talk about my newest bangle. Obsessed.

How fun, right?! I mean I’ve always loved Bauble Bar, but lately I’ve really loved Bauble Bar. Most of their pieces are so affordable and look so much more expensive than they are! Win win. I thought this was a great bracelet to add to my ever-growing list of animal instinct pieces!

I decided that the giraffe needed a name. He is now called Glennie.

Jacket: Gibson (similar)
Blouse: Hinge (similar)
Jeans: Paige
Boots: Steve Madden (similar – only $100!)
Bracelet: Bauble Bar
Scarf: Rachel Zoe for QVC
Watch: Michael Kors

Oh, and this is obviously outside of my favorite place ever — Rocks. I bet you can guess what I ate/drank. Hint: Spicy and pumpkin.

If I would have only seen that jacket on the nordstrom website, I would have overlooked it because I personally think it looks terrible on the model. But it looks AWESOME on you, and now I have to have it!!

Great jacket! I love the mixture of earth tones with the animal print scarf. The blazer fits like it was made for you, was it tailored?

Nope! It just happened to fit perfectly. Pretty amazing for a tweed blazer under $100!

The tweed looks great with the boots. You’re right, a nice subtle country-side look.

All of these earthtones are great and the scarf add the little extra pop without color. Great find with the tweed jacket, it is fabulous!! And Gleenie… thinking I need a Gleenie of my own!

Great find for under $100, right? It’s hard to find cheaper tweed that doesn’t look cheap. And Glennie is amazing, you should get a Glennie twin and name him Garrett. :)
