When It Rains, It Pours

by Jessica Sturdy on August 22, 2011

I was having a rough day last Friday so I needed some bright colors and some sparkle to lift my spirits! I figured my sparkly bow sandals and my hot pink shorts would do the trick and I was right.

My roommate had the day off so we decided to walk around Lincoln Park and go shopping. We realized that Loft on Diversey was having their grand opening so we stopped in for 20% off our purchases. I was in need of some new jeans, but I had never thought to try Loft denim. I’m so glad I did! I got a pair of gray skinny jeans, cropped boyfriend jeans, and a pair of flares! They’re amazing!

We then popped into Akira Shoes where we were welcomed with champagne. (You know how I feel about champagne!) We did some browsing and scored ah-maz-ing deals (50% off!). Very successful shopping trip! :)

Shorts: J.Crew, Tee: Trouve, Scarf: Nordstrom, Sandals: Jeffrey Campbell, Watch: Michael Kors, Bracelets: JCrew, Gift, & Cara

Sparkles + Bows + Jeffrey Campbell + Sale Price = Yes PLEASE! :)

Also, the decor at the new Loft was really cool. Here are a couple of pictures if you missed my tweets..

Everything gets better in time, right? I hoping sooner rather than later! I’ve just got to stay busy, positive, and motivated! :)

I just stumbled upon your blog and I love it, especially seeing your new apartment and all the great outfits! Would love it if you did “hauls” sometimes, showing readers what you bought. :)

Thanks, Alina! That is a great idea… I’ll have to do more of those! I love hearing what you guys want to see on the site. :)

Here are a few to keep you occupied until then…
